Job Description
  • Operates and maintains all process waste equipment including: providing technical services with diversified procedures and specialized standards in hazardous materials and wastes
  • Ensure that treated effluents meet all applicable safety levels before discharge
  • Conduct Adhesive Polymerizations
  • Control equipment and product by computer
  • Monitor and control the reactor, prepare holding tank
  • Know location of quench controls
  • Make PVA and Mix defoamer
  • Transfer adhesives into tanks, take samples of adhesives
  • Prepare toes and fill with glue
  • Rinse lines and clean reactor, clean out drum and tote lines
  • Take sample of adhesives and extract from top of tanks for lab.
  • Weigh totes and store in chemical holding area
  • Label totes with Batch #, tote ID andWeight
  • Put empty monomer barrels in truck trailer
  • Unload chemical deliveries with fork truck
  • Manage adhesive inventory and process of raw material inventory
  • Back-up compounding/waste water functions

Qualifications
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of equipment set up, adjustment, operating procedures, and a corresponding level of skill to set up, operate, and adjust the equipment
  • Able to set up, operate, and adjust the equipment, and in addition, diagnose, solve, and correct operating problems affecting the quality and timeliness of the service or product or function
  • May instruct junior level operators how to complete the required corrective adjustment
