Job Description

As the Services and Digital Transformation Business Development Manager (BDM) at Crescent Electric, you will spearhead the initiatives to drive service sales growth and revenue goals across the company. In this role, you will establish, grow, and build capabilities within your accounts, and accounts managed by our current Account Managers, through a strategic business plan that enables sales growth in Services and Digital Transformation. You will work closely with our internal sales organization, virtual sales team, application engineering team and preferred supplier partners to develop awareness of services, capabilities, business outcomes targeted and identify, qualify new sales opportunities across the enterprise.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Develop and refine market strategies to enhance sales within the Services and Digital Transformation segments with a focus on enclosure modifications, VFD/PLC service contracts, modernization services, arc flash and lockout/tagout services, cyber security audits, thermal audits, digital consulting services and other services that align to Crescent's business strategy.
  • Be a strong advocate to market, consult and sell our preferred partner's products, services, software or other service related technologies.
  • Lead and manage initiatives aimed at driving business growth, including sales, lead generation, and marketing efforts.
  • Grow and maintain existing customer leaderships by utilizing our Action Selling sales methodology to ascertain customer's needs to craft relevant solutions encompassing field services.
  • Collaboratively partner across sales team to support needs to provide the appropriate field service sales and operations support.
  • Negotiate new partnerships and business alliances.
  • Work closely with legal experts to write contracts for new business partners.
  • Complete Action selling training.
  • Utilize the CRM platform to enter opportunities and activities associated with customers.

SKILLS:

  • Developed interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers of various technical abilities, including experience working with contractors, consultants, and sales staff as required.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Technical foundation with a strategic business outlook and legal awareness.
  • Ability to build relationships and quickly develop trust with C-level executives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.
  • 3+ years professional sales experience in Electrical Distribution Services and/or Channel Partners experience in Energy Management or Industrial Automation.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance with insurance coverage requirements per company policy.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time attend company, customer, and supplier activities and events.
  • Experience in Software and Digital Solutions Mindset is a plus.
