Marathon Special Products (MSP), a Regal Rexnord business unit, is headquartered in Bowling Green, Ohio, USA. SCOPE OF LEADERSHIP ROLE

Our business is actively seeking a dynamic, visionary General Manager (GM) to lead the company's initiatives and operations. As an industry leader in supplying power blocks, terminal blocks, and fuse holders in North America, we are committed to growth. We are looking for a leader with the expertise, ambition, and drive to take our business to the next level.

The General Manager will provide strategic vision, execute growth plans, manage annual P&L objectives, drive innovation, and foster talent development. Additionally, they will oversee the Regal Rexnord Business System, ensuring world-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Our goal is to exceed stakeholders' expectations and achieve profitable growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee the development of short and long-range objectives, policies, financial and operating plans for the organization.

  • Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the company's future, aligning with market trends and customer needs.

  • Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships. This includes ensuring that the right people are in the right roles, while building the best overall team.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement to drive organizational excellence and employee engagement.

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through engineering redesign, vendor management, and manufacturing projects.

  • Champion internal change initiatives and throughout our supply chain.

  • Support opportunities to leverage corporate-wide RRX capacity and capabilities.

  • Hold responsibility for overall compliance for all environmental and local, state, and federal government regulations.

  • Maintain exceptional customer service including appropriate on time delivery.

Organizational Leadership:

  • Assume full responsibility for the MSP business unit. Ensure that people are engaged, capable and aligned. Execute the MSP Strategy and secure future success of the company.

  • Lead a cross-functional global organization by setting objectives, developing plans, executing daily management activities and implementing corrective action to ensure customer success.

  • Drive collaborative relationships with other Regal Rexnord business leaders to create a "One Team" mentality

  • Demonstrate ability to establish organizational vision in both quantitative and qualitative measures with the ability to progress toward established vision.

  • Foster a learning organization that is invested in recognizing and understanding performance gaps, investing energy to perpetually tackle tough problems, embrace change for progress in the organization and in business.

  • Remove ambiguity and align the organization toward both the long- and short-term business objectives

Drive Business Performance:

  • Utilize an 80/20 mindset to overserve our top customers through strong operational performance

  • Develop, communicate and align the organization around the business' Key Performance Indicators to ensure performance targets are achieved.

  • Champion all EH&S efforts. Ensure that employee and product safety are the top priority. Drive a culture of Safety, zero accidents and actively provide leadership relative to safety accountability with site leadership team.

  • Lead the business management cadence (Daily/Weekly/Monthly) with the site leadership team that drives Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance throughout the organization.

  • Manage budgets and spending to achieve long and short term business objectives. Responsible for operational and financial performance of the business focused on Revenue, Operating Income and Cash performance.

  • Partner with other Site Leaders, Business Unit, Business Segment and Central Functions to ensure both Regal Rexnord's and Customer's Success.

Talent Management:

  • Provide experienced and effective leadership, coaching and mentorship for the organization.

  • Lead talent management system with MSP Leadership team for the business unit, driving organizational effectiveness, proper structure and employee development aligned with achieving business objectives.

  • Identify, recruit and retain top talent.

Continuous Improvement Leadership:

  • Set a clear vision for the site with a supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) Roadmap to achieve the intended future state.

  • Lead the development, organizational alignment and achievement of long-term value stream/operational improvement priorities (Policy Deployment).

  • Lead and engage employees during daily management, kaizens and projects to drive continuous improvement and foster a progressive organization.

  • Leverage knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement principles to solve problems utilizing a structured, data-driven, fact-based and team-oriented approach.

  • Establish and lead an organization energized by effective problem solving, defect elimination and effective root cause corrective action.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have proven experience:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business or Engineering.

  • Track record with delivering above market growth via full strategic planning and execution cycle.

  • Proven managerial experience, and knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)

  • Demonstrated ability to affect team transformation using change management principles

  • Ability to travel - up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years leading a multi-functional organization with full P&L responsibility.

  • MBA would be an asset.

  • Technical background preferred (e.g. engineering, power generation, emergency power, electrical)

  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

  • Experience with 80/20 principles for business simplification and amplification preferred.
