Estimated annual base pay: $89,400 -$111,800 (midpoint) - $134,200

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're aSenior Accountant, we have an exciting opportunity for you within our Accounting Center of Excellence (CoE) - Americas. The key purpose of this position is to provide financial accounting support in accordance with US GAAP with an emphasis on revenue and applicable regulatory and statutory requirements, Woodward policies and procedures, and standards of internal control.In addition, work closely with other members of the Accounting CoE to ensure standardized processes, using innovation, automation, and digitalization to build operational consistency and stabilization. Working within the CoE, your accounting focus, or track, will allow you to support all Americas' entities across this multi-billion-dollar industrial and aerospace manufacturing organization.
What You Will Be Doing
Playing a significant role in the month-end General Ledger close process, including assisting Staff Accountants with advanced accounting questions, creation, and posting of journal entries, driving achievement of deadlines, while applying general accounting principles to transactions as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
Aids members within your track in understanding and performing SOX controls. Understands advanced concepts relating to accounting and controls and relays those concepts concisely to track members both formally and informally.
Performing balance sheet reconciliations using advanced reconciliation software tools, supplying supporting detailed data monthly to ensure the accuracy, validity, and completeness of reported account balances. Applying proper disposition to reconciling items promptly or soliciting help in doing so.
Participating in small teams to drive standardization of processes within your specific focus/tracks, while managing multiple priorities, and solving complex process problems through innovation, simplicity, and team involvement.
Maintaining schedules, templates, subsidiary ledgers, worksheets, or other documents on an ongoing basis to ensure relevance, consistency, and accuracy of reported items.
Successfully lead and complete small projects with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum 2 to 5 years related experience
Experience working at a global company preferred.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
Master's degree in accounting or MBA desired.
Professional certification e.g. - CPA, CMA, CIMA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent desired.
Experience with workflow automation, data analytics, and visualization tools preferred (e.g., Alteryx,Power Automate, Tableau, Spotfire, andPower BI)
Working knowledge of the COSO internal control framework and a solid understanding of the concepts of control design and operational efficiency is preferred
